Job Description

Cascade Pattern Co is seeking a highly skilled Journeyman Patternmaker to join our team in Elyria, OH. We are looking for an experienced craftsman who takes pride in precision and has a deep understanding of foundry tooling and industrial pattern construction.
Key Responsibilities Precision Fabrication:
Build, repair, and alter complex wood patterns and coreboxes from engineering blueprints.
Material Versatility:
Cast and finish urethane patterns and coreboxes; work with various resins and synthetics.
Foundry Tooling:
Construct no-bake boxes , insert boards, and master patterns.
Rigging & Gating:
Professionally mount and gate patterns according to specific casting requirements and technical blueprints.
Quality Assurance:
Perform meticulous dimensional checks of finished tooling against machining and casting blueprints to ensure tolerances.
Machinery Operation:
Expertly operate a variety of pattern shop equipment including mills, lathes, joiners, planers, table saws, and sanders .
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Proven experience as a Journeyman Patternmaker (Experienced candidates only).
Technical Literacy:
Expert ability to read and interpret complex industrial blueprints and 2D/3D technical drawings.
Mathematical Proficiency:
Strong shop math skills for calculating shrink rates and dimensions.
Tooling Knowledge:
Deep understanding of foundry processes, including sand casting and no-bake molding.
Requirements:
Must possess a valid Driver's License and basic organizational/typing skills for internal documentation.
Schedule & Compensation Pay:
$25.00•$30.00 per hour (based on experience).
Shift:
First Shift, 6:00 AM•2:30 PM (Monday•Friday).
