Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level I Operator to support day-to-day manufacturing operations. The Level I Operator supports daily manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, handling materials, performing basic inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This entry-level role works under the direction of the Lead Operator and Production Management to ensure production goals, ISO quality standards, and safety requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations:
o Safely operate assigned production equipment and manufacturing processes according to established work instructions and procedures. o Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals and deliver quality products to all our customers. o Assist with equipment setup, start-up, shutdown, and line changeover activities. o Monitor equipment performance and process parameters during operation. o Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules. o Accurately record production data, process parameters, and operational information. o Support the needs of the Logistics and Quality Team. •
Equipment & Housekeeping:
o Perform routine cleaning and basic operator-level maintenance tasks. o Maintain clean equipment and work areas in accordance with 5S standards. o Identify and report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs. o Assist maintenance personnel during scheduled maintenance activities as required.
Safety & Compliance:
o Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements. o Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). o Participate in safety meetings and training programs. o Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and incidents promptly. o Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, and safety standards. Continuous Improvement o Participate in training and skill development activities. o Support Lean, 5S, and operational improvement initiatives. o Suggest improvements related to safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
o High School Diploma or GED required. o Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required. o Forklift certification o Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. o Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards o Ability to work effectively in a team environment. o Basic computer skills.
