  • Full-time Production Control Specialist We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Specialist to join our team.
For this role, you will play a crucial role in bridge the gap between customer demand and floor-level production. This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong analytical skills, and enjoys the challenge of optimizing supply chain workflows.
Pay Rate and Compensation:
  • 1st Shift Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
  • Flex Schedule with a 30m lunch.

Core Job Functions To be successful in this role, you will focus on these five critical areas:
Material Procurement & Planning:
Analyze customer forecasts to manage the ordering of steel, components, and outsourced services, ensuring raw materials align with production schedules.
Vendor Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers to guarantee accurate, on-time deliveries and resolve any shipping or quality discrepancies.
Inventory & Database Management:
Maintain the integrity of the inventory database through meticulous tracking and regular updates to prevent shortages or overages.
Kanban System Development:
Create and refine Kanban databases for both new and existing projects to support a "Just-In-Time" manufacturing environment.
Project Support & Kaizen:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on floor planning and equipment logistics, while actively leading Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives and buildout activities.
Equipment Operation:
Previous experience or the ability to be certified on a Forklift is required for occasional material movement and inventory verification.
Required Skills & Attributes :
Expert Analytical & Numerical Skills:
You must be comfortable working with complex numbers and data sets to ensure ordering accuracy and inventory balance.
Advanced Data Entry & Software Proficiency:
Mastery of Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, formulas) and Outlook is essential, alongside experience navigating production databases. Exceptional Attention to
Detail:
In this role, a small oversight into a forecast can lead to significant production delays; precision is non-negotiable.
Communication & Teamwork:
You will act as a liaison between the floor, management, and external vendors, requiring clear and professional verbal and written communication.
Adaptability:
The ability to pivot between office-based data management and hands-on floor support.
Physical Requirements & Equipment Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active on the production floor as needed.
