The position involves frequent physical activity, use of scanners and basic computer systems to track inventory, and may include regular forklift operation depending on assignment. Clean and prepare used boxes and totes for reuse, ensuring they meet quality and cleanliness standards. Perform general warehouse tasks such as moving totes, organizing materials, and maintaining orderly storage areas. Carry out general repair work on totes and boxes, including inspecting, fixing, and preparing them for return to service. Move and handle a high volume of boxes per shift, potentially ranging from 50 to 200 boxes depending on workflow and assignment. Use handheld scanners to track and trace inventory, including materials and products, and to document where items are staged in the warehouse. Use SAP and basic computer applications to look up materials, verify inventory information, and complete simple data entry tasks. Perform additional production technician duties such as cleaning work areas, stacking lids and bins, and supporting general production needs. Operate a forklift as assigned, with the expectation of spending approximately 30-60% of the workday on a forklift in certain roles. Lift and carry items weighing up to 65 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift. Follow all safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures required in a crop manufacturing environment. Work overtime as needed to support production demands and seasonal peaks. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to maintain efficient workflows and meet production targets. Ability to learn and use SAP or similar systems for material and inventory lookups. Comfort using handheld scanners to track and trace inventory and product locations. Willingness to work overtime as required by production demands. Openness to a long-term contract and seasonal, long-term temporary work with potential for permanent opportunities when available. Ability to work safely and effectively in a production-style crop manufacturing facility. Capability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as lifting, stacking, cleaning, and moving boxes and totes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous forklift experience or certification is helpful and considered a strong plus. Flexibility to work different shifts, including first, second, or third shift, as business needs require. Attention to detail when stacking, staging, and tracking inventory to ensure safety and accuracy. Strong reliability and consistency in attendance and performance in a long-term contract role. Why Work Here? You will join a clean, well-organized crop manufacturing facility that offers a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to grow into a permanent role when internal openings arise. The environment emphasizes fair treatment, consistent scheduling, and access to overtime for those seeking additional earnings. You can expect structured shifts, raises while on contract, and work that is easier relative to many industrial and construction roles, while still providing steady, reliable hours in a supportive setting. The environment is clean and maintained to food-related standards, and the facility operates as a non-smoking workplace. The work involves frequent movement, lifting, and stacking of boxes and totes, as well as use of scanners, SAP, and basic computer applications.
