Shift:
2nd Shift Monday
  • Thursday 3 p.m.
  • 1 a.m. Full
  • Time Benefits! As a Production Operator
  • Colorant Paint Processor, you will be part of a team that works together to manufacture quality paints, stains and other materials.
This is a multi-functional production role requiring a comprehensive understanding of the entire manufacturing process for colorant formulations. The employee will be cross trained in all key operational areas and rotate between functions as needed to support the production schedule and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
Key Responsibilities May Include Receiving:
Unload, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials; ensure proper storage and documentation.
Paint Making:
Accurately follow batch formulations, make material additions, and operate equipment to produce high-quality colorants.
Quality Control:
Perform in-process and final product testing to ensure compliance with formula specifications and standards.
Filling:
Operate the filling line and/or hand fill drums while ensuring finished products are ready for shipment.
Shipping:
Load finished products onto trailers while maintaining accurate shipping records and documentation. Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices. Ability to safely operate and handle materials using a powered industrial truck (PIT). Able to bend, reach, lift; tasks often include working with hoses, materials, drums, or other items that need to be moved as part of normal manufacturing operations. Ability to stand for extended periods and move over, under, or around equipment as needed. Mechanical aptitude and ability to make equipment adjustments and troubleshoot issues. Ability to distinguish between slight color variations. Demonstrated neat and orderly working habits. Other tasks as deemed necessary. Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to work overtime as needed. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to work in an environment with ambient temperature variation. Able to understand and follow instructions or operating procedures in English. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs multiple times per shift. Must be able to wear required PPE, including hard hat, FR uniform, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and other taskspecific protective gear. Ability to frequently ascend or descend stairs; the Colorant building includes several floors. Basic computer skills needed for interaction with software programs that support the operation (e.g. SAP, Vorne, Excel). Do you want to add a little color to your career?
