Job Description

L-H Battery Company, Inc., located in Jeffersonville, Ohio, is a Joint venture of LG Energy Solution and Honda to manufacture large lithum-ion polymer batteries. Products from L-H Battery power a variety of innovative energy storage applications.

Summary:
The Process Technician will support production operations by performing process monitoring, inspection, and rework of no-good (NG) modules and battery packs. The role is responsible for identifying and supporting resolution of process-related defects, maintaining traceability and defect records, and working closely with engineering teams to support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities. This position ensures product quality, supports production flow, and maintains compliance with safety and standard work procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform re-inspection, rework, and reintegration of NG modules and battery packs into the production line in accordance with standard procedures
  • Conduct first-line troubleshooting and initial evaluation of process defects, abnormalities, and production issues
  • Maintain and manage defect records, traceability logs, and master defect lists to ensure accurate tracking of product history
  • Support Process and Quality Engineers in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities
  • Communicate directly with production, quality, and engineering teams to coordinate containment and resolution of process issues
  • Document inspection results, rework activities, and defect findings in accordance with company standards
  • Provide technical support and training to technicians on standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3

o Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustaino Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational Certificate or Associate degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Experience in manufacturing or production environment required
  • Basic understanding of defect identification, inspection, or quality control processes preferred
  • Ability to perform hands-on inspection and rework of production materials or components
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and traceability documentation
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to support cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with attention to detail
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills required
  • Positive attitude, strong self-motivation, and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Additional Requirements:
  • Comply with company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Able to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on support of production materials as required
  • Prompt and regular attendance within onsite operations
  • Flexibility to work adjusted shifts or overtime as necessary
  • Candidates may be assigned shifts based on production needs and ramp-up schedules
