Description A&D, a business unit of Pennington Seed/Central Garden & Pet Company, is a leader in the bird food manufacturing industry. We are searching for a Molder Operator for our Peebles, OH location. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards in production and ensuring our products meet quality and safety standards. As part of our team, you will be responsible for various tasks working with a team to meet tight schedules and deadlines safely and efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, adjust and operate molder to plane, shape, and groove boards to specifications Selects and installs cutting heads on machine according to the cuts on specifications Changes out knives in molder head according to specifications Feed sawed boards into molder Stack boards as they come out of molder Able to obtain a forklift license and skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have working knowledge of fractions and decimals Detail oriented with an eye for precision work Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Must be able to stand for long hours Team-work oriented. Able to get along with others Must have good work ethics Must be willing to work overtime when needed Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in agriculture, production, or a manufacturing environment is a plus. Detail oriented.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work environment includes a non-climate-controlled warehouse production facility, frequent proximity to moving mechanical parts, product irritants / allergens, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally, tasks may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and amidst moderate noise levels.
