Job Description
SUMMARY Responsible for supporting Final Inspection and Test & Pack operations by providing coverage, material handling support, communication, and operational assistance to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are achieved. This role requires flexibility to support multiple areas within Final Inspection operations while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and safe work practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Group Leader in training, supporting, and leading associates within the department. Communicate critical safety, quality, and production information between Group Leaders, associates, and opposing shifts. Support departmental goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement. Provide break and lunch coverage for Final Inspection/Test & Pack operations as assigned. Support material handling activities for Final Inspection and associated production areas. Perform Work-In-Process (WIP) inventory counts and related inventory verification activities. Assist with rework and production offload support activities as assigned. Maintain communication with Group Leaders, Supervisors, and associates to support daily operations. Maintain organization and cleanliness of work and staging areas. Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and PPE requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Test/Pack Group Leader, department Group Leaders, and/or Production Control Supervisor.POSITION SKILLS
Strong communication and teamwork skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong situational awareness in a manufacturing environment. Excellent attendance and reliability. Safety awareness and accountability in all work activities. Basic computer and scanning system knowledge preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing and walking. Frequent lifting/carrying 22-32 lbs. Frequent pushing/pulling 22-32 lbs. Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching. Occasional sitting and computer use. Must wear required PPE in designated areas.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regular exposure to powered industrial equipment and manufacturing machinery. Frequent interaction with forklift traffic, pedestrian traffic, and production activity. Fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. Primarily indoor manufacturing environment.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required. Forklift operating experience preferred. Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification. Demonstrated ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment. Strong attendance record. Ability to work overtime as needed. Flexibility to support multiple operational areas within Final Inspection and Test & Pack.Benefits
