Job Description
We are looking for dependable 2nd Shift Value Add Operators to join our manufacturing team. This position performs secondary operations on metal stampings using a variety of equipment, including clinching, welding, and automated assembly machines. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, comfortable working in a production environment, and able to learn and follow established processes. Responsibilities Operate a variety of secondary production equipment, including clinching, welding, and automated assembly machines Perform value-add and secondary operations safely and efficiently Complete production work according to established priorities and production requirements Inspect equipment and complete required safety, quality, and tool-readiness checks before use Monitor equipment throughout operation and respond appropriately to production issues Report miss-hits, equipment problems, and other production concerns to the Production Supervisor Coordinate with Material Handlers regarding materials, scrap removal, and finished or work-in-process product Accurately record labor time and production quantities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment Work cooperatively with supervisors and other members of the production team Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Manufacturing or production experience is helpful, but candidates who demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn will be considered Basic computer skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team Reliable transportation Must be able to communicate in English Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate up to 50 pounds Ability to stand frequently throughout the workday Ability to reach, bend, push, and pull in a production environment Must be willing and able to wear required PPE on the manufacturing floor
