Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Operator and be a vital part of creating high-quality products in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in manufacturing processes, materials handling, and packaging operations. As a Production Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient production flow, maintaining quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.   • Selects and loads proper coils according to the production order, checks and records gauge, width, and weight gain order.
  • Scans coil information into production recording system for processing after physically checking metal with tape measure and micrometer.
  • Records metal not in specification with issued work order and reports defects to Supervisor or Crew Chief.
  • Weld and splice material together to keep continuous flow of material into the line; maintain visual inspection of moving strip reporting defects.
  • Assists in set up and clean up of all equipment.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in area.
  • Proficient with coil management system
  • Work with supervisor to identify and correct quality defects.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
  • High school education or GED
  • Reports defects, issues, and repairs to supervisor
  • Collaborate with others and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive, strategic, and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Understands and follows all processes and procedures related to position
  • Acknowledge and sign off on all applicable updates and quality bulletins
  • MIS proficiency
Pay:
From $23.78 per hour
