Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Production Packager will work alongside the production team to inspect, bundle, package, label, and prepare finished steel and wire products for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, able to work at a fast pace, and comfortable performing physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
- Assist welders in the preparation, alignment, and assembly of steel panels according to design specifications.
- Monitor the welding process to ensure that panels are fabricated accurately and to specification.
- Perform basic welding tasks such as tack welding, spot welding, and basic joint assemblies under the supervision of skilled operators.
- Inspect finished steel panels for defects or irregularities, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Assist in the finishing process, including cleaning, grinding, or polishing the steel panels as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Adhere to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all company safety guidelines.
- Help load, unload, and move materials or finished panels as needed throughout the production process.
- Work closely with other production team members to ensure deadlines and production targets are met.
