Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Production Packager will work alongside the production team to inspect, bundle, package, label, and prepare finished steel and wire products for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, able to work at a fast pace, and comfortable performing physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment. Experience in manufacturing or steel industry is a plus, but we are willing to train someone with relatable skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING
  • Assist welders in the preparation, alignment, and assembly of steel panels according to design specifications.
  • Monitor the welding process to ensure that panels are fabricated accurately and to specification.
  • Perform basic welding tasks such as tack welding, spot welding, and basic joint assemblies under the supervision of skilled operators.
  • Inspect finished steel panels for defects or irregularities, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Assist in the finishing process, including cleaning, grinding, or polishing the steel panels as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all company safety guidelines.
  • Help load, unload, and move materials or finished panels as needed throughout the production process.
  • Work closely with other production team members to ensure deadlines and production targets are met.

EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma preferred, and related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and be willing and able to operate a motor vehicle and pass a company drug screen.
