If you love precision manufacturing and process control, this is your arena. What success looks like You own the casting cell.
You'll:
Operate high-pressure aluminum die cast machines to produce consistent, specification-driven parts. Use a crane to position specified die sections; secure them by bolting and set the correct ram stroke. Complete safety checks on equipment and resolve hazards to protect people and product. Hook up water hoses to the die cooling system and bring die sections up to temperature with an electric heater. Dial in water flow and machine speed by turning valves and setting dials—accounting for part size and structure, as well as metal type and temperature. Tune air and spray systems to blow metal fragments from die surfaces and apply lubricant into the die cavity and onto the plunger. Program and adjust automatic equipment to ladle molten metal into the machine chamber. Maintain correct metal level and temperature in the holding furnace throughout the shift. Track and measure process parameters, making any required adjustments to keep the process consistent and compliant. Compensation & schedule Starting pay is $23.44/hour for first 90 days. Then, $24.01/hour.
Swing shift:
Hours are Monday to Friday 3PM-11:30PM with a $1.25/hour premium.
Graveyard shift:
Hours are Monday to Friday 11PM-7:30AM with a $2.00/hour premium. 40 hour work week with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, short term disability, 401k, monthly gym reimbursement, and more.
