Opti Staffing is hiring for a growing precision machine shop looking to add a reliable Machine Shop Helper to their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door with manufacturing and machining while building valuable hands-on experience. The right candidate will be dependable, hardworking, eager to learn, and willing to help wherever needed. This position offers room to grow and the opportunity to advance into a machinist or other skilled manufacturing role for someone looking to build a long-term career in the trade.
What You'll Do:
Assist machinists and shop personnel with daily operations. Clean and organize machines, tooling, and work areas. Assemble machined components and finished products. Package and prepare parts for shipment. Move materials and parts throughout the shop. Assist with inventory organization and material handling. Perform general shop maintenance and housekeeping. Use basic hand tools as needed. Support machinists with various shop tasks and production needs. Learn manufacturing and machining processes from experienced team members. What's In It for

Have:
Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Willingness to learn and take direction. Mechanical aptitude or interest in manufacturing. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attendance and reliability. Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment. Strong attention to detail and willingness to help wherever needed.
The Musts:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Reliable transportation. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday. Willingness to perform cleaning, material handling, and general labor duties. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Preferred:
Manufacturing or warehouse experience. Experience using hand tools. Forklift experience. Mechanical or assembly experience. Previous machine shop experience. Interest in pursuing a machining or manufacturing career.
