Job Description

Job Summary Join our team as a Public Yard Pay Booth Attendant, where you will be the friendly face who welcomes visitors and ensures smooth access to our outdoor facility. Your role is vital in managing entry and exit processes, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Inspect wood waste to minimize the presence of foreign materials.
  • Assess load size and direct to the proper drop site.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate soil products for their specific needs.
  • Collect fees and other revenue from the sale of landscape products.
  • Operate POS system to produce customer receipts.
  • Operate credit card device.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE
Cash-handling experience and customer service skills are essential for this position.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. The ability to calculate the yardage of the customer load by measuring the load size. The ability to assist customers in calculating the yardage of product needed by measurement of project area.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
