Job Title:
Production Worker / Steel Worker Utility Job Description This role supports a highly industrial production facility by performing a variety of tasks across multiple departments. You will load and unload rail cars, feed machines with raw materials, and stage finished and in-process products while consistently prioritizing safety and teamwork. The position requires flexibility to work independently or as part of a group and to support off-shift operations as needed. Responsibilities Load and unload rail cars safely and efficiently according to established procedures. Feed production machines with raw materials to maintain continuous and consistent operation. Stage products and materials in designated areas to support smooth production flow. Operate production and general labor equipment as trained, including basic machine operation. Use basic hand tools to perform daily tasks, adjustments, and minor support activities. Follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times while performing every task. Initiate, lead, and uphold safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment. Maintain housekeeping standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and schedules. Support operations on 2nd or 3rd shift and work weekends and holidays as operating conditions require. Essential Skills High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment. Willingness and ability to work off shifts, including 2nd or 3rd shift, as well as weekends and holidays as needed. Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, and procedures at all times. Knowledge of basic hand tools and their safe use. Ability to perform general labor and production tasks in an industrial setting. Capability to operate or support machine operation after training. Comfort working in a loud, dusty, dirty, and outdoor-influenced environment with varying temperatures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, general labor, or machine operation is beneficial. Comfort working in a cross-trained role and learning multiple departments and tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures. Reliability and punctuality to support continuous production operations. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camp Hill, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
