Posted 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is looking for a Paint Preparer worker to work in Pennsylvania. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Responsibilities Prepares motor vehicles and military equipment (automobiles, buses, trucks, missiles) for painting. Roughens aluminum, steel, and other surfaces using hand sanders or tools to ensure proper paint adhesion. Masks and covers areas not intended for painting. Performs minor touch-ups, including stenciling letters or numerals on surfaces. Does not perform sandblasting or major painting using power machinery. Applies caulking or sealants per work instructions to prevent moisture damage and corrosion. Obtains forklift license upon request. Qualifications 1 - 3 years of experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to Obtain and Maintain Government Secret Security Clearance.
