Job Description SummaryGE Energy Connections' Power Conversion Division provides Electrical power conversion systems for various renewables, industry, marine, and Oil & Gas applications. Typical scope includes MV & LV drives, motors, transformers, E-house, switchgear, and control as well as the associated power systems engineering.



The Electro-Mechanical Technician role is expected to be in individual capable of reading electrical and mechanical drawings and translating that into a finished product.

Essential Responsibilities Assemble components onto panels and into enclosures following mechanical layout and assembly drawings with zero deficiencies.



Wire components per electrical schematics following predefined guidelines and work standards.



Capable of completing minor modifications to metal panels and enclosures including cutting, drilling, and tapping.



Qualifications/Requirements Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience)Desired Characteristics Knowledgeable with panel assembly and wiring.



Knowledge of UL508A standards.



Willingness to learn new product.



Minimum of 2 years manufacturing/assembly/wiring experience.



Panel assembly and wiring experience.



Strong attention to detail.



Familiar with assembly and wiring a range of drive product including AC & DC drives, variable speed drives, motor exciters, remote I/O stations, and operator stations.
