As a Lumber Piler, you will play a key part in keeping our mill running by sorting, stacking, and moving wood so it's ready for our customers. You don't need any experience or a degree to start—we will provide all the training and tools you need to succeed. If you are looking for a steady job with great weekly pay and a crew that looks out for one another, this is the place for you!
Responsibilities:
Sorting Wood:
Look at the different sizes and types of wood as they come off the machines and group them together.
Stacking and Piling:
Neatly stack lumber into tall, even piles so they are easy to move and store safely.
Feeding Machines:
Place raw logs or boards onto conveyor belts or into saws to be cut.
Quality Checking:
Watch for wood with cracks, knots, or rot and set those pieces aside so only the best wood goes to customers.
Education:
No formal education required.
