Job Description

Summary:
This position is responsible for all bottling line duties, machinery setup, training, quality standards, reviewing and executing daily production schedules. Actively promotes Quality, Sanitation, GMP's, HACCP standards to achieve a quality finished product within specifications.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of bottling lines, set-up, and meeting production goals. Understand line staffing to ensure efficiency through productivity. Continuous improvement and training of line personnel in areas of: Safety, HACCP, GMP's, cleaning and sanitation Job skills training of Bottling personnel. Conduct proper training of line personnel having a full understanding of the continuous process in producing a quality product. Perform light repairs and preventative maintenance as needed. Read, interpret, and execute production schedules. Complete and verify all required documentation. Communicate with Management regarding daily activities in Bottling at Team Meeting Daily with Supervisor Must work effectively in a diverse environment. Assign/delegate duties to line personnel during bottling and/or downtime or end of shift shutdown. Work overtime and weekends when necessary. Complete other duties as assigned by Management. Position requires 100% on production floor. Regularly required to stand during shift, reach and move around machinery. Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.
Key Attributes of Position:
Previous supervisory and leadership experience of 7-15 employees Must be articulate, a self-starter, and a team-player with a desire to learn. Previous bottling / packaging machinery knowledge Effectively communicate with line staff in English Able to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment. Willing to accept new responsibilities and be self-motivated. Demonstrate attention to detail. Fills out all necessary paperwork for audit and SOP requirements. Perform quality checks on finished product. Must have a HS diploma / GED. Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. Must utilize all proper PPE for the job as described in the attached JSA Must be willing to work overtime as needed to meet the needs of the business. Must be able to pass the pre-employment physical, background check and drug and alcohol testing Bi-Lingual in English or Spanish a plus. Required to read, comprehend instructions, short correspondence and pre and post start up sheets in English. Able to write simple instructions and effectively communicate with others in English.
Working Conditions:
Work will be performed within a manufacturing facility. The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, hair and beard nets, and gloves and face masks. Wearing company issued uniforms is a requirement. Work hours may vary with demand, 6:30AM•3:30PM Monday•Friday including Saturday and rotation to night shift as business needs change. This is an essential position in food processing.
Pay:
$19.00•$21.00 per hour
