2nd shift We are seeking a dependable and small line floater operator to support our manufacturing operations by operating multiple machines and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products in a safe and efficient manner. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you will work both independently and as part of a larger team. In addition to machine operation, you will help support training, maintain quality standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Key Responsibilities Production Operations (40%) Operate department equipment including mixing, extruding, and grinding systems with minimal supervision Support production during shift changes, breaks, and team absences Assist with equipment cleaning and operate smaller auxiliary machinery as needed Meet production deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency Quality & Process Control (20%) Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process Ensure adherence to all quality standards, Standard Work, and 6S practices Partner with supervisors and team members to maintain consistent output Material Handling (20%) Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished goods Follow all safety procedures related to powered industrial equipment Maintenance & Housekeeping (10%) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform basic preventive maintenance and report equipment issues promptly Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained Additional Responsibilities (10%) Enter and review production data and work orders in system Cross-train within the department to support operational needs Participate in safety, production, and company meetings Assist with SOP development and production documentation Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience) 1+ year of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred 1+ year of forklift experience required Ability to learn operation of all department equipment within 6 months Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills and understanding of measurements Comfortable with computers and data entry (ERP experience a plus) Safety-focused with the ability to follow procedures and policies Willingness to work overtime as needed Ability to wear PPE, including masks, and work at heights when required What we offer you: Competitive medical, dental, vision, and prescription insurance coverage 401k with a company match PTO Hours are accrued from Day 1 Tuition reimbursement Opportunities for development and internal promotions Two minute walk to eco-friendly public transportation from rabbittransit Sometimes the best jobs get missed because people think they don't have what it takes.
