ND Sheets is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Assistant to join our production team. This hands-on role supports quality assurance, packaging, and material handling processes, playing a vital part in maintaining product excellence and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate thrives in a team environment, has a keen eye for detail, and adheres to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
Perform visual and physical inspections of finished sheet products to ensure they meet established quality standards. Identify defects, inconsistencies, or damage, and take corrective actions as needed. Accurately document inspection results, defects, and corrective actions. Work alongside the quality team to uphold and improve quality procedures.
Production Support:
Assist in loading jumbo rolls into production equipment. Select and load appropriate carton boxes and ream wrappers for packaging tasks. Repack and rework damaged or non-conforming packages to ensure product integrity. Monitor and report inventory levels of packaging supplies to prevent shortages. Ensure all packaging materials meet required standards before use.
Workplace Efficiency & Safety:
Collaborate with production and quality teams to support smooth and efficient operations. Follow all safety guidelines and proper handling procedures for materials and equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in manufacturing or production environments is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to follow safety procedures and company policies. Physical ability to lift and move materials as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing setting with noise and temperature variations. Manual dexterity and ability to operate hand tools for maintenance tasks.
