Job Summary HUFCO is hiring a Shop Assistant / Woodshop Production Worker to support cutting, assembly, painting, finishing, and installation of custom cabinetry. This role is perfect for someone looking to start a hands-on trade or grow into a skilled woodworking or Cabinetmaker career. This position includes tasks typical of a Woodshop Assistant, Woodworker, Apprentice, Cabinet Shop Helper, Production Worker, Assembler, Fabrication Worker, Carpentry Helper, and Cabinet Installer, depending on daily workflow needs. No experience is required — we will train motivated candidates. Key Responsibilities Cutting & Fabrication
  • Assist with parts creation using saws and CNC equipment
  • Prep materials, stage components, and load machines
  • Support daily production flow in the woodshop Assembly (Assembler / Cabinet Shop Helper Duties)
  • Follow instructions to assemble cabinetry components
  • Perform drilling, sanding, fitting, and hardware installation
  • Maintain accuracy and quality throughout builds Painting & Finishing
  • Prep surfaces for paint and finishing
  • Reassemble products after finishing steps Installation Support (Cabinet Installer Duties)
  • Assist installing custom cabinetry at customer locations
  • Load/unload tools and materials
  • Interact professionally with customers on-site Qualifications
  • Interest in woodworking, cabinetry, or learning a trade
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools (preferred)
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • Experience in roles such as Woodshop Assistant, Woodworker, Production Worker, Fabrication Worker, Assembler, Carpentry Helper, Cabinet Installer is helpful but not required Requirements
  • Monday-Friday availability
  • Occasional overtime
  • Able to stand, lift, bend, and work with hands throughout the day
  • Reliable transportation Pay & Schedule
