Now Hiring Production worker in Wellsville, PA Night Shift rotating 12-hour schedule $18.79/hour Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Tail Stretcher to join our Night Shift team, working from 7 PM to 7 AM on rotating 12-hour nights. This role involves working with metal shear pruners to ensure all metal extrusions are of uniform length as directed by the foreman or lead person. Responsibilities Even up lengths of metal using metal shear pruners as instructed. Move the stretcher to the appropriate length and secure the extrusion in the clamp. Signal the Head Stretcher to commence the stretching operation. Use blocks and gauges when required. In conjunction with Head Stretcher, move extrusions up to 120 feet across the walking table. Handle metal carefully to minimize scratches and dents. Inform the Head Stretcher or Foreman/Lead Person immediately if extrusions are twisted or snaked after stretching. Assist saw crews to maintain production. Regularly check all equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition. Report potential problems or defects to Shift Foremen or Lead Person immediately. Maintain a neat and orderly work area and assist with general housekeeping of the Press Department. Assist Saw Crew on Press as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, with support from crane and other equipment. Experience with machine operation and die setting. Mechanically inclined with experience in general labor. Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints and demonstrate basic math capabilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a machine operator and familiarity with heavy-duty general labor. Understanding of industrial and mechanical environments. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role operates within a 24/7 facility, with 12-hour shifts that allow you to plan your schedule for the entire year. The environment is dirty and dusty, requiring candidates to wear jeans or work pants, a plain shirt, steel toes with metatarsals, and a flame retardant jumpsuit. Once you transition from a temporary to a permanent position, uniforms will be provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellsville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.79 - $18.79/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
