Job Description
Production Packer Job Description This role focuses on efficiently and safely packaging chocolate products in a modern manufacturing facility. You will prepare packaging materials, operate and monitor production lines, inspect finished products for quality, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with established standards and guidelines. Responsibilities Ensure the efficient and safe packaging of chocolate products according to established production and quality standards. Prepare and stage packaging materials to support continuous production flow. Operate and monitor production lines to maintain consistent output and minimize downtime. Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and proper labeling, and remove any defective items. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures at all times. Handle materials and products safely, including loading, unloading, and moving items as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and facility guidelines. Perform basic equipment checks and report any issues or irregularities to the appropriate personnel. Accurately label and package products according to specifications and production requirements. Collaborate with team members and support overall production goals by assisting where needed. Essential Skills Experience in packing, packaging, or production within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with packing and inspecting products for quality. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the ability to follow GMP guidelines consistently. Material handling experience in a production or warehouse setting. Ability to work effectively on a third shift schedule from Sunday through Thursday. Stable work history demonstrating reliability and consistent attendance. Ability to follow safety procedures and adhere to PPE guidelines. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and inspection of products. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a food or chocolate manufacturing environment is beneficial. Comfort working with production line equipment and basic mechanical awareness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to performance expectations tied to level-based progression. You will work alongside a larger team in a site of approximately 360 employees, using production and packaging equipment in a structured, process-driven setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scranton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
