This role focuses on developing MEP models from engineering design through coordination and fabrication-ready detail. Working alongside engineers, construction professionals, and trade partners, you'll help bridge the gap between design intent and field execution. Unlike traditional BIM coordination roles, this position emphasizes production modeling—developing models that directly support prefabrication, assembly, and installation. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects and help shape the modeling standards and workflows of a growing industrialized construction company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Model Development and Management:

Develop Revit MEP models from engineering drawings, markups, and specifications (EOR support) Progress models to LOD 350-400, including routing, hanger placement, and coordination detail Maintain model organization, standards, and quality throughout project lifecycle Production Modeling (Prefabrication Focus): Translate engineering intent into production-ready models usable by fabrication and field teams Incorporate constructability, sequencing, and installation logic into model development Support development of assemblies, racks, and prefabrication strategies

Coordination and Integration:

Participate in coordination workflows, including clash detection and resolution Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align model content with project requirements

Deliverables and Documentation:

Produce model-based outputs to support prefabrication, installation planning, and field layout Maintain accurate and complete model documentation and revisions

Problem-Solving:

Identify and resolve modeling and coordination issues as they arise Progress work with limited direction by applying constructability and trade knowledge

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with engineering leads, project managers, and project stakeholders Support integration of modeling efforts across disciplines Competencies Strong understanding of constructability and installation practices Ability to work independently and progress work with incomplete information Attention to detail and commitment to production-quality outputs Continuous improvement mindset Strong coordination and communication skills Qualifications Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, with experience developing coordinated models incorporating constructability and installation requirements. Familiarity with Revit Fabrication Parts, Evolve MEP, or similar tools Understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) Preferred Qualifications Experience working for MEP contractors or design-build teams Exposure to prefabrication workflows (assemblies, racks, spooling, etc.) Field experience or strong understanding of installation practices Experience developing fabrication-ready models at LOD 350-400, including hangers, assemblies, racks, and similar outputs. Work Location Greater Cincinnati area preferred, with a hybrid work arrangement. Fully remote candidates will also be considered based on qualifications and experience.
