Sewing Helper (Awning Production) AA Sign and Awning Warwick, RI Job Details $20 - $25 an hour 23 hours ago Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sewing Helper to support our awning production team. This role involves assisting with industrial sewing operations, preparing materials, and ensuring quality standards are met in the fabrication of custom awnings and related products. Key Responsibilities Assist in operating industrial sewing machines (including walking foot machines) for awning fabrication Prepare and set up sewing machines with appropriate materials, including thread, fabric, and vinyl Support cutting, pattern layout, and stitching processes as directed by the production team Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality and accuracy standards Inspect materials and finished products to ensure high attention to detail Keep workstations clean, organized, and safe at all times Collaborate with team members across production, fabrication, and installation departments Qualifications Basic experience or familiarity with sewing, stitching, or textile work preferred (industrial experience a plus) Understanding of pattern making, cutting, and sewing techniques is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good written and verbal communication skills Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift and handle materials such as fabric rolls and awning components What We Offer On-the-job training and skill development Opportunity to grow within the production team Stable, team-oriented work environment
