Position Summary Sets up and operates woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and shaper, to cut and shape parts from woodstock. Trims component parts of joints to insure snug fit, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files. Essential Duties (Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.) 1. Supervisory Responsibilities The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance High School Diploma or GED required. 3-5 Years' experience in related field required. No professional certifications are required for this position. The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties. The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check. Additionally, must be able to pass a federal background check as required. Ability to read blueprints, measure fabrication materials, identify various materials for construction of wood containers, use saws, planers, sanders, drills, etc. Must have demonstrated skill to assemble/fabricate wooden containers, mount out boxes, stands, chests, skids and platforms. Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions The associate is required to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
