GED Full Job Description Summary:
Assure team member resources and processes are properly utilized within production. Contributes to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and encourages good work habits.
Essential Functions:
Ensure flow of work and job rotation in production. Trains team members on assembly procedures. Works with team members to ensure they have a strong understanding of their job responsibilities. Educates and gives feedback on proper safety and ergonomics standards and guidelines. Coordinates with team supervisors on any additional training needed for team members. Ensure any engineering change requests are processed properly in production. Assists with the monitoring of processes, rework, defects, scrap, etc. May be involved in improvement initiatives. Capable of performing production functions as needed. Read and interpret blueprints and sketches of parts according to specifications. Participate in production improvement initiatives. Maintain applicable records. Demonstrates Aerostar's Guiding Principles. Maintain a clean and safe work area. May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed. Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous production experience is helpful.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership skills preferred. High level of patience and service. Ability to motivate team members. Ability to be flexible and multitask. Ability to read blueprints and maintain accurate records. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements (Sioux Falls Only): Required to sit, stand, and walk up to 10 hours. Required to bend and reach. Required to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. Required to push/pull up to 25 lbs. Required to use hand coordination to include the ability to grip and pinch. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Outside of Sioux Falls:
Jobs will be performed while sitting or standing. Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials, occasionally in difficult work positions. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 pounds. Working Conditions:
A production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
