This position requires attention to detail, safe operation of trimming tools and equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Trim and finish roto-molded products to company quality standards Remove excess material using hand and power tools Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies Sand, drill, route, and prepare products for assembly or shipment Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals Maintain accurate quality and production standards Operate equipment safely and follow all safety procedures Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards Report equipment malfunctions or quality concerns to supervisors Assist with packaging, assembly, and other production tasks as needed Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient production Typical day-to-day functions: Review production schedule and daily work assignments Gather required tools, materials, and safety equipment Receive molded parts from production Trim excess plastic from products using routers, knives, drills, and other tools Inspect products for quality issues such as cracks, thin spots, rough edges, or defects Sand and finish products to meet appearance and quality standards Install hardware or complete basic assembly tasks when required Move finished products to packaging or staging areas Maintain production pace while ensuring quality standards are met Clean workstations and organize tools throughout the shift Communicate production or quality concerns with supervisors and team members Assist other departments or team members as production needs change
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to use hand tools, routers, drills, grinders, and trimming equipment Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good verbal and written communication skills Basic problem-solving skills and critical-thinking abilities Time management and organizational skills Basic computer and data entry skills Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality standards Reliable transportation Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching Ability to lift up to 70 pounds regularly Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and dust High school diploma or GED Experience in roto-molding or plastics manufacturing is a plus Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements preferred
Schedule:
Weekend shift
  • 6am•6:30pm, Friday•Sunday, overtime as scheduled.
$20/ hour ($1 shift differential for second shift), starting
