Benchmark Companies is seeking a dependable, production equipment specialist for work in our mulch manufacturing and land clearing divisions. We offer a steady, full-time schedule, laid back atmosphere, and growth opportunities. This position will be responsible for scheduled technical repair on our fleet of field operations production equipment - wood waste grinders, whole tree chippers, and forestry mulchers. Specific, in-depth, training relative to this specialized equipment will be provided to selected applicant. This unique position provides the opportunity for our mechanics to interact with the equipment on a daily basis to catch small repairs before they turn into large ones and to refine the day to day operation so that productivity of our field staff is maximized. Applicants must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines in our fleet. Experience on every machine type we operate is unnecessary, but applicants must possess an ability to see a repair through to completion. Expect an average of 50 hours worked per week. Pay based on experience and skill level. Some travel is available certain times of the year. Must be a well-organized self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills and a positive attitude who takes pride in delivering quality work.
