Job Description

Position Summary Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Floater must have knowledge of multiple positions and know how to operate various equipment. The individual will assist with changeovers. S/He will relieve team members for breaks lunches absenteeism or vacation. S/He must be self-driven and have the ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationseporting to the Production Supervisor / Team Leader, the Production Floater must have knowledge of multiple positions and know how to operate various equipment. The individual will assist with changeovers. S/He will relieve team members for breaks lunches absenteeism or vacation. S/He must be self-driven and have the ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Responsibilities Maintain a clean work environment by following food and workplace safety procedures, rules, and regulations; Operate multi-function process control machinery (and ERP system) through control panels, computer terminals or other control systems to mix, blend, cook or otherwise process food products, and to bag, box or otherwise package food products; Maintain production line operational by assisting line operators with process problems, making equipment adjustments, reporting production and quality data, reporting decisions made, referring questions to the supervisor; Monitor products conformity and ensure compliance to company's standards and perform adjustments to equipment if/when necessary; Assist with change overs; Relieve team members as needed (breaks, lunches, absent team member, vacation) Rotate and learn different areas of the production line/multiple lines; Provide on-the-job training to new employees and assist with team member cross-training; Actively participate in 6S and continuous improvement; Create and maintain POKA guides relative to production operations; Maintain a positive, respectful and open communication process with team members; Promote and maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement, working within the company team to make it a more efficient and safer place to work; Other duties as assigned. In the event the Production Team Leader or Supervisor is unavailable (absence, vacation, training, etc.) the Production Floater will provide leadership to the team members and ensure that all tasks and duties of the team are being completed; Oversee the quality of work performed by the Production Team Members; Must be willing and able to complete other duties as assigned by Production Manager Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; Previous manufacturing and/or food production experience is preferred; Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in food production is preferred; Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and consistently changing environment; Ability to learn multiple positions and be able to work these positions on varying schedules; Ability to effectively understand and follow a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation); Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, supervisors; Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting through root cause problem solving; Basic math and computer skills; Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and weekends when needed; This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position within Leclerc Foods USA, Inc
