Production Worker Job Description This role supports both production and warehouse operations by assembling and packaging products, performing quality checks, and handling material movement using powered equipment. You will work at an individual workstation or in a warehouse setting to kit products, complete documentation using tablets and RF scanners, and safely operate material handling equipment to load, unload, and move goods. Responsibilities Bag and assemble kits of product containing vials according to established procedures and work orders. Perform quality checks on products and packaging to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications. Complete work orders and related documentation accurately and on time. Assemble boxes and pack products securely for shipment or storage. Use a tablet and RF scanner to perform data entry, scan documents, and update inventory or order information. Work at an individual table or bench to kit orders efficiently and maintain an organized workstation. Operate a stand-up forklift while properly harnessed to move product in and out of racking. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently, following all material handling procedures. Lift items up to 50 pounds as needed to support production and warehouse activities. Use packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines to prepare products for shipping. Perform picking and packing duties using electric pallet jacks and other warehouse tools. Engage in physical activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling as required by daily tasks. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly work area. Essential Skills Experience with RF scanners for inventory, picking, or shipping tasks. Assembly experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Warehouse or forklift experience, including operating stand-up forklifts. Ability to use tablets or similar devices for data entry and document scanning. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly. Comfort working at heights when operating stand-up forklifts in racking. Ability to perform picking and packing tasks using electric pallet jacks. Strong attention to detail to perform accurate quality checks and complete work orders. Willingness and physical ability to perform activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, inventory, assembly, packing, picking, or shipping operations. Experience with packaging processes, including use of packing machines and palletizers. Familiarity with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Comfort working independently at a bench or table while meeting productivity and quality expectations. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a smaller facility with roughly 40 or more employees, offering a clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized setting. Production team members typically sit at their own table or bench while kitting orders and using tablets and RF scanners for data entry. Warehouse team members work in racking areas and on the dock, operating stand-up forklifts (with harnesses), electric pallet jacks, packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with production shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (employee choice), and warehouse shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The environment is described as a nice facility with a laid-back atmosphere, while still maintaining a focus on safety, organization, and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockwood, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
