Job Summary:
This is a temp-to-perm on-site role located in Grand Prairie, Texas. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Planner to coordinate and schedule manufacturing operations to support customer requirements and production goals. The Production Planner will collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, inventory, and operations teams to synchronize material availability with manufacturing demands. This role is critical in maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all components align with production schedules to meet on-time delivery targets. This position will communicate directly with customers regarding production status updates, scheduling changes, and any potential delays. This role may include training, cross training and transfers as needed. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity. Coordinate with production and operations teams to prioritize work orders and meet delivery requirements. Monitor material availability and communicate shortages or scheduling concerns. Update and maintain production records, schedules, and reports. Work with purchasing and inventory teams to support material planning activities. Track production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address changes in demand or production issues. Communicate schedule changes and production updates to customers and appropriate internal departments. Help ensure production activities follow company quality and safety standards. Assist with inventory control and cycle count activities as needed. Support continuous workflow and efficient use of labor and equipment. Required Qualifications
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or a related role preferred Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to read, write and speak English. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with production scheduling and inventory processes. Ability to read and interpret production reports and work orders. Work Environment Manufacturing plant and office environment. Primarily onsite position with regular interaction between departments.
