Job Description
Glo Resources is hiring an experienced Bilingual Production Scheduling Assistant in Port Arthur, Tx . The pay rate is $18 - $22 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime and weekend work available based on production needs. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:00 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
The first two weeks will include training at the Houston site. The company will reimburse mileage expenses incurred for travel to and from the training site. Job Summary GLO Resources is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing material flow, and ensuring manufacturing operations run efficiently to meet customer demands and production goals. This role works closely with production, purchasing, warehouse, and management teams to support daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Review open sales orders to determine customer requirements. Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity to meet customer deliveries Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure materials and components are available for production Monitor workflow, production progress, and deadlines to minimize delays and downtime Analyze production data and inventory reports to identify shortages or scheduling conflicts Coordinate with material purchasing group and/or expedite suppliers' material purchase orders as required Communicate schedule updates and production priorities to supervisors and department leads Notify Outside Sales and Customer Service Representatives of any schedule impacts to customers Assist in planning labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency Maintain accurate production records, reports, and planning documentation Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production planning and inventory control Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures Support continuous improvement initiatives within production operations Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions Other duties may be assigned as necessary Qualifications Previous experience in production planning, manufacturing coordination, or scheduling required. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods Administrative experience with advanced administrative tasks, high-volume data entry, and shipping/receiving. Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment preferred. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and inventory management processes preferred. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork skills. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English highly preferred. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the facility during the shift Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Work in a manufacturing/fabrication environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Manual dexterity for computer work, documentation, and operational coordination.
