Job Description

Position Summary ECS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiberglass Assembler to join our production team. The Fiberglass Assembler is responsible for fabricating, assembling, finishing, and repairing fiberglass components according to company specifications and quality standards. This role requires hands-on experience with fiberglass materials, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Measure, cut, lay-up, and assemble fiberglass materials and components. Prepare molds and apply resins, catalysts, and reinforcing materials. Trim, grind, sand, and finish fiberglass parts to meet quality specifications. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with ECS quality standards. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Assist with repairs and rework of fiberglass components as needed. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-3 years of experience in fiberglass fabrication, composites, or related manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fiberglass materials. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. Preferred Skills Experience with mold preparation and gel coat application. Knowledge of safety procedures related to fiberglass and resin handling. Experience working in a fast-paced production environment. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and noise. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
