Responsibilities Assemble products and components using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment. Interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturing documents to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication. Measure parts with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations to maintain quality standards. Use welding, soldering, machining, and fabrication techniques as required for mechanical assembly tasks. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to transport materials within the production area. Follow safety protocols by properly using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to shop safety procedures during manual handling and assembly processes. Inspect finished products for quality control using measuring instruments and ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings for accurate assembly. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in mechanical blueprint interpretation and fabrication techniques. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, and specialized industrial tools. Ability to perform shop math calculations accurately for measurements and component fitting. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including soldering, welding, machining, and fabrication methods. Familiarity with warehouse operations including forklift operation and material handling procedures. Understanding of safety practices related to PPE use, manual handling, and the operation of machinery in a manufacturing setting.
