Job Description

Position Summary :
The Assembler is responsible for constructing wooden reels used for wire and cable storage and transportation. This role involves assembling wood components using hand and power tools, reading basic work instructions, and ensuring finished reels meet quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions/Job Requirements:
  • Assemble wooden reels according to production specifications and work orders
  • Operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and power tools (nail guns, drills, saws, hammers)
  • Align, fasten, and secure wooden components accurately
  • Inspect materials and completed reels for defects or damage
  • Follow quality control standards to ensure structural integrity
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist with material handling, stacking, and moving finished products
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications:
Ability to work safely in all conditions. Ability to work in hot and cold environments. Ability to read tape measure. Ability to read spec sheets. Must be detail oriented and have a strong desire to learn. Ability to handle physical requirements, including but not limited to, kneeling, repeated bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting of up to 80 lbs. Able to complete part requisition forms and work-order paperwork to document work performed. Focused on strictly adhering to safety procedures such as "lock-out, tag-out." Results-oriented Self-motivated and able to work independently Skilled in troubleshooting and problem solving Organized with strong time management skills Good communicators, able to work through problems with other team members.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
