This role is responsible for helping keep finishing operations running smoothly while providing day-to-day direction and support to our Quality Technicians and Yarn Finishers/Twisters. The Production Lead works alongside the team to keep production moving, troubleshoot issues, reinforce quality expectations, and make sure finished product meets our standards before moving to the next step. This is a hands-on lead role, so when the team is running smoothly, this person is expected to jump in and help with finishing and production work. The right person for this role has strong production or manufacturing experience, communicates clearly, and is comfortable balancing hands-on work with leading and supporting a team. Key Responsibilities Production and Finishing Operations Help oversee daily finishing and production activities to keep work moving efficiently. Work alongside Yarn Finishers/Twisters and assist with production and finishing tasks as needed. Monitor production flow and help prioritize work based on daily production needs. Make sure established production processes and procedures are followed consistently. Help identify and resolve production issues before they create delays or affect quality. Monitor work areas, materials, and equipment and communicate any concerns to production leadership. Help keep production areas clean, organized, and ready for the next job or batch. Quality and Process Support Provide day-to-day direction and support to Quality Technicians. Reinforce quality standards throughout the finishing process. Help identify product defects, inconsistencies, or process concerns and make sure they are addressed before product moves forward. Work with the team to understand the cause of recurring quality issues and help prevent them from happening again. Make sure quality checks and required production steps are completed accurately. Escalate significant quality, material, or production concerns to management when needed. Team Leadership and Support Serve as a first point of contact for questions from Quality Technicians and Yarn Finishers/Twisters during the shift. Help team members troubleshoot process, quality, and production issues in real time. Provide clear direction on priorities, procedures, and expectations. Support onboarding and training of new production team members. Reinforce safe work practices, quality standards, and production expectations. Identify training needs or recurring process gaps and communicate them to production leadership. Help create a positive, productive work environment where team members feel comfortable asking questions and raising concerns. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of production, manufacturing, or related experience preferred. Prior experience in a lead, training, or mentorship role strongly preferred. Experience in finishing, textile, yarn, or similar production environments is a plus. Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and efficient workflow. Comfortable working in a hands-on production environment and assisting with production work as needed. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality or process issues. Clear communicator who can explain procedures and expectations to team members at different experience levels. Able to stay organized and make good decisions while managing multiple priorities. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Able to perform the lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements required for production and finishing work. Schedule Requirements This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM . Overtime and weekends are based on business needs.
