Production Worker:
(Take Off, Utility, Feedman) Responsibilities Performing duties including but not limited to: Pulling rolls of fiber off machines and putting into bags according to instructions Cutting bags Measuring rolls Making boxes Baling fiber Cover for employees while on breaks Keep a clean and orderly workplace. Be responsible for housekeeping around line, tube and plastic storage areas, Brush oven slats when needed. Empty trash receptacles. Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor/lead person.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Wears assigned designated Personal Protective Equipment. Attends mandatory Safety meetings as scheduled. Maintains OSHA standards compliance as described in company safety policies (LOTO). Have knowledge of emergency stops - Winding head, Line, Hot Wire, etc.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Read standard gauges (scales, tape rule, measuring devices) Good decision-making skills. Trouble shooting ability. Ability to work independently and with others. Self-motivated/adaptable. Basic math skills. Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Process.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Possesses the ability to bend and stoop. Lift up to 50 pounds. Follows directions and instructions well. Walk, stand, and sit for a 12-hour shift.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Adapt to seasonal temperature changes. Stand on a variation of hard, concrete surfaces. Fast paced environment.
Pay:
$14.00 per hour
