Job Description

Position Summary:
Production Operator is responsible to operate the lamination process and ensure continuous production is maintained in compliance with specifications and ensure quality procedures are followed as specified in process instructions and records. Works in accordance with health and safety procedures and ensures good manufacturing practices.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred 1+ Years experience in Manufacturing Machine Operation Mechanical education / certification a plus Mechanical aptitude Actual work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Experience with metric measurements
Primary Position Responsibilities:
Read work instructions and communicate with co-workers in order to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, supply and product specifications. Adjust machine components according to specifications such as width, length and thickness of material as per production schedule. Mount rolls of fabric, backing or foam on machine tools/equipment. Start machines and turn valves or move controls to feed, admit, apply or transfer material and adhesives and to adjust temperature, pressure and time settings, as per work instructions. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and report or resolve problems. Stack and/or remove completed material and/or re-stock material as per process. Examine and measure completed materials to verify conformance to specifications using measuring devices such as tape measures and/or gauges, as per process. Perform test production runs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that completed production meets standards and product specifications. Clean and maintain machinery and equipment using lubricants, brushes as per work instructions in order to maintain overall housekeeping. Maintain production records such as quantities, dimensions and thickness of materials processed. All process performed must follow work instructions Other duties as assigned.
