M Industrial EPC Fabrication Shop Summary:
We're hiring experienced welders running automated and semi-automatic welding equipment: Manipulator oscillator systems, Novarc spool welding robotics, or similar mechanized/automated welding systems. This is a production role on industrial pipe fabrication working alongside manual welders and fitters. work areas, operating basic tools and equipment, and assisting with daily shop operations.   • Set up, operate, and adjust automated/semi-automatic welding equipment (mechanized
GMAW/FCAW
track or manipulator systems)
  • Monitor weld parameters (travel speed, wire feed, voltage/amperage) to maintain quality passes
  • Read and follow WPS, drawings, and weld specs
  • Perform visual inspection of fit-up, root gap, and Hi-Lo prior to welding; refit or flag out-of-tolerance joints
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine operator-level maintenance
  • Complete required documentation (weld logs, traveler sign-off)
  • Follow all H+M and site-specific safety procedures Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following: Manipulator oscillator systems, Novarc SWR, or comparable automated/mechanized welding equipment
  • Manual welding proficiency in (GMAW/FCAW/GTAW) — most automated welders also perform manual welding and equipment operation
  • Ability to read drawings, WPS, and welding specs
  • Comfortable in a fab shop environment
  • Reliable attendance, works well independently and on a crew Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier items with assistance.
  • Use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work safely around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and welding fumes while wearing appropriate PPE.
Tool Requirements Employees are required to provide their own basic hand tools. A detailed tool list will be provided during the hiring process. Work Environment Working conditions are primarily within an industrial fabrication shop. Employees will be exposed to welding operations, grinding, cutting, overhead cranes, forklifts, loud noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and any additional protective equipment required for assigned tasks.
