"YARD" Position Summary The Production Scheduling Assistant supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting with production scheduling, inventory management, and production reporting. This role works closely with production, sales, and transportation teams to help ensure efficient workflow, accurate inventory tracking, and timely completion of customer orders. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn manufacturing processes to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assist in building and maintaining daily production schedules for multiple departments Coordinate with production, sales, and transportation teams regarding scheduling priorities and inventory needs Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management and reporting Perform daily production reporting, data entry, and documentation accurately and timely Track operational variances and assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement Communicate schedule updates, changes, and production concerns to appropriate departments Maintain accurate scheduling records and production data within company systems Support production planning activities to help meet customer deadlines and operational goals Learn manufacturing processes and product flow to improve scheduling efficiency and effectiveness Assist with maintaining organized production and scheduling documentation Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards Complete required trainings and certifications as assigned Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as business needs change Provide general administrative support related to production scheduling and operations Ideal Candidate Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous scheduling, manufacturing, production, or inventory experience preferred Basic computer skills required Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and data entry Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and address operational issues Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and company systems Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs Ability to maintain professionalism and reliability in a team-oriented environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods throughout the workday Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment as needed Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically
