Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations. This role works closely with the Production Manager to coordinate workflow, manage schedules, and ensure efficient production across departments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the Production Manager with releasing and prioritizing jobs to the production floor Coordinate workflow between design, scheduling, production, shipping, and dispatch Monitor production schedules and communicate priority changes as needed Support production planning using ERP or scheduling systems Track progress and help ensure deadlines are met Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively address production needs Maintain accurate records and assist with reporting Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required Experience in wood truss, construction materials, or similar industry preferred Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems Experience with ERP, production planning, or scheduling software preferred Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
