Position Summary:

The Semiconductor Combo Welder plays an essential hands-on role within CAM Industrial Solutions' semiconductor operations, specializing in the fabrication and assembly of high-purity stainless steel gas lines and components. Reporting to the Project or Cleanroom Supervisor, this role is responsible for executing precision orbital welds in cleanroom environments to support the manufacturing of critical systems such as gas cabinets, valve manifold boxes (VMBs), and process panels. This position is vital to maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety, while ensuring alignment with CAM Industrial Solutions' procedures, technical specifications, and customer expectations. The Semiconductor HP Orbital Welder / Fitter will contribute directly to the successful delivery of high-tech projects through skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to cleanroom protocols. Key Responsibilities Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel and specialty metals used in semiconductor process systems. Perform autogenous TIG welds without filler wire when specified by engineering and welding procedures. Weld thin-wall tubing, pipe, fittings, and components to strict dimensional and quality requirements. Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, weld maps, blueprints, and welding specifications. Prepare, fit, align, purge, and weld components prior to installation. Maintain proper argon purge and shielding-gas practices to prevent oxidation and contamination. Perform visual inspection and ensure welds meet applicable specifications and customer requirements. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and contamination control. Work within cleanrooms, controlled environments, and semiconductor manufacturing facilities as required. Follow WPS/PQR requirements, safety procedures, site protocols, and quality-control standards. Complete weld documentation, inspection records, and job-related paperwork. Coordinate with pipefitters, mechanical contractors, engineers, and quality personnel. Troubleshoot welding and fit-up issues while maintaining production schedules. Qualifications Proven experience as a TIG/Combo Welder , preferably in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, aerospace, or other high-purity environments. Strong experience welding 304/316 stainless steel tubing and pipe . Experience with autogenous TIG welding (no filler rod/wire) strongly preferred. Ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds on thin-wall tubing. Experience with orbital welding is highly desirable. Ability to read drawings, weld symbols, and piping layouts. Knowledge of high-purity gas, vacuum, process-water, and chemical piping systems is a plus. Ability to work safely in PPE and controlled/cleanroom environments. Must be detail-oriented and capable of maintaining strict cleanliness and quality standards.
