Welder Production | Full-Time | Hourly | On-Site | Waxahachie, TX Why Join Us? Summary/Scope of Role Americase is seeking a skilled Welder responsible for the set-up and operation of welding machines and brazing applications. This role reports to the Production Operations Manager and is a key contributor to producing high-quality metal products and structures that meet client specifications. Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following: Requires TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Aluminum is required; others prefer. Requires MIG welding on aluminum and mild steel. Ability to braze aluminum, steel, copper, and brass preferably. Interprets verbal and written instructions from work orders and welding blueprints and can read a tape measure. Familiarity with common hand tools and able to handle soft metals without scratches and dents. Sets up and operates gas welding machines to weld metal parts, regulating flow of gases for proper mixture. Sets up and operates all phases of brazing applications using clamps, fixtures, and torches, working to specified tolerances. Responsible for changing weld cups, electrodes, and other tooling to maintain quality and production standards. Produces and maintains metal products and structures according to client specifications. Cleans parts to remove contamination prior to welding. Follows all safety guidelines, including proper machine guarding and lockout/tagout procedures; maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner. Collaborates with a team and provides solutions for work productivity. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills Oral Communication Skills Reading Skills Written Communication Skills Time Management Technical Communication Blueprint Reading Mechanical Aptitude Education/Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior welding experience is helpful.
Other Requirements Welding Experience :
MIG and TIG aluminum, minimum of 2 years' experience required.
Personal Protective Equipment :
Must be able to wear welding-specific personal protective equipment, including helmet, gloves, and leather.
