Mountain Country Equipment is hiring a full time Production & Yard Assistant. We are the leading manufacturer in livestock panels and fencing in Utah. This is an entry level position. Experience is a plus but is not required. Assistant will be operating a large abrasive saw, cutting drill pipe, sucker rod, and other mild steel materials and operating an ironworker to cope drill pipe to be welded into various products. Assistant will also assist with loading and unloading trucks and perform other general tasks around the yard as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operate saw equipment to cut materials according to specifications
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to determine cutting requirements
• Set up and adjust saw equipment for accurate and efficient cutting
• Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after cutting
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following OSHA guidelines
• Assist with loading customers as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating saw equipment preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on saw equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Shifts are Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00; No weekends.

Pay Range $20-25/hr. Receive paid holidays after 3 months of employment, and paid vacation after 6 months of employment. Simple IRA opportunity after 6 months. Please note that this job may require heavy lifting, use of mechanical equipment, and adherence to safety guidelines outlined by OSHA. This position will also be exposed to a variety of working conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
