Carries radio on person when directed to directly communicate with other Precook rooms as needed. Provides day-to-day assistance to Supervisor/Management in meeting production and quality requirements. Responsible for understanding Daily's GMP's and safety policies. May rotate job stations within Precook department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

include, but are not limited to the following: Must be able to safely navigate the electric pallet jack and move empty or loaded pressed belly pallets through production areas including coolers. Load and operate plastic pallet wrapper. Uses necessary technology including scan guns and computers to issue and print pallet labels. Carries radio on person to give and receive information regarding production run to other precook areas. Accurately documents pallet information. Work at a pace consistent with line speeds Keep accurate records as needed. Maintain accurate counts. Minimize scrap at all times. May rotate job stations within Precook department. May be required to assist in other areas based on business need. Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality. Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Lead Follow Daily's attendance and punctuality rules. Follow Daily's Good Manufacturing Processes Follow Daily's Safety guidelines as outlined in Safety Handbook Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support Daily's business objectives.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Previous pallet jack experience preferred. Must consistently follow company rules and procedures and ensure consistency with product specifications. Advanced communication skills Able to identify correct pallets for product run. Performs a variety of tasks that require manual material handling and the use of hand tools, knives, hooks, machinery, and equipment. Basic math skills including ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Capability of working with and calculating percentages Must have superior attendance record. May not have any company disciplinary write ups with the past 6 months.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to lift and carry at least up to 50 pounds consistently. Standing and walking for up to 10 hours a day on concrete and wet surfaces Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to wear all assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position while working.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Temperature variations - average of 40 degrees. Exposure to noise above 85 dbl (hearing protection required).
