National Vision is currently looking for a Day Shift Team Lead who is a dedicated Optical Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our lenses while contributing to an efficient workflow.Job Description Shift:
Monday - Thursday 5 AM - 3:30 PM (Peak hours) (Overtime on Friday during peak season) $19.63/hr. + production bonus eligibleWhat You'll Do:
Invoice Inspection:
Utilize your keen eye to read invoices and directing trays accordingly.Lens Handling:
Visually pre-inspect lenses, loading them into sectors, and placing sectors into machines with precision.Chemical Management:
Skillfully place the proper chemicals into the right pockets after each phase of the process, ensuring a seamless production flow.Quality Assurance:
Lift sectors out of machines, download lenses back into trays, and meticulously match numbers on paperwork to guarantee accuracy.Lens Maintenance:
Clean lenses thoroughly with lens cleaner and cloth, removing all polish and ensuring compliance with ANSI standards.Workflow Optimization:
Separate jobs between departments, lead associates to ensure optimal workflow, and operate the AR Coating Machine.Training and Development:
Train new associates, conduct Professional Improvement Plans, and collaborate with the AR Supervisor to enhance performance and the work environment.Qualifications Education:
No specific education level required; however, the ability to read and write English is essential.Experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a related field or lesser jobs, either within or outside the organization.Skills:
Ability to follow simple instructions, perform with accuracy, and engage in intermittent sustained mental effort.Physical Job Requirements:
Mobility:
Continuous walking, standing, or sitting based on the production station.Manual Dexterity:
Frequent movement and twisting of the wrist, repetitive movement of hands and fingers.Lifting:
Frequently lifts, carries, or moves objects weighing 0-10 lbs.Flexibility:
Frequent bending and twisting of the neck, occasional bending at the waist.Safety Measures:
Gloves and protective eyewear must be worn during work periods.
