Located in the heart of Virginia, Bay Pottery is dedicated to preserving and sharing the art of handmade pottery. Role Description:
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Handcrafted Pottery Manufacturer based in Broadway, VA. The perfect job for someone who is detail oriented, enjoys hands-on tasks, and prefers to work independently or with a partner. The position involves a variety of tasks in pottery production, with focus on the preparation and packaging of both retail and wholesale orders. You will also participate in maintaining a well-organized and efficient environment, assisting in manufacturing operations, and contributing to the overall improvement of processes. Training on specific techniques will be provided, and no prior knowledge of handcrafted pottery or the potter's wheel is needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in Manufacturing preferred but not required Strong Communication skills to work effectively within a team Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Capability to train and collaborate with others to maintain high-quality craftsmanship Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards Ability to work independently in a physical, hands-on role and handle the demands of a manufacturing environment Passion for handcrafted goods and willingness to learn new techniques
