Full Job Description Manufacturing Support Technician Location:
Chesapeake, VA Pay Rate:
$17.50/hr•Day Shift $18.72/hr•Night Shift (includes 7% shift differential) Schedule 12‑hour rotating shifts Days for 2 weeks, then nights for 2 weeks Shift pattern example: Work 2 days → 2 days off → work 3 days → 2 days off → work 2 days → 3 days off

6:00 PM•6:00 AM Must be available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Initial 2‑week training on day shift, including safety orientation. Position Overview The Manufacturing Support Technician plays a key role in supporting production operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring smooth material flow throughout the facility. This role supports granulation processes and works closely with production and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities Operate granulation equipment and monitor material silos Execute daily production and housekeeping plans Monitor equipment performance and communicate status to production leadership Perform quality checks (including bulk density) and respond to quality issues Maintain floor organization, material flow, and housekeeping standards Assist with preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting Support and train team members as needed Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, motorized handcarts, and other material‑handling equipment Accurately document production activities, quality results, process adjustments, and maintenance Follow all safety programs and promote a strong Safety First culture Complete additional duties as assigned by production leadership Technical Skills & Experience Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and set up machines Comfortable working with both metric and standard measurements Machine maintenance experience preferred Prior production or machine operator experience is a plus IND25
